The Element by Westin Downtown Denver East Hotel is a new 157-room, LEED Certified extended stay, $40 million facility located in the historic Golden Triangle Neighborhood. Construction, managed by The Beck Group, began in September 2017.

Kenny Electric, responsible for electrical and technology installation, made use of innovative BIM solutions. Because the footprint of the job site allowed little room for material staging, much of the project was managed through prefabrication and strategic planning using Trimble construction software and Bluebeam® Revu® technology. Contractors and sub-contractors collaborated using Revit®, a digital design-build software program, which manages the economics of multi-unit projects efficiently.

Construction technology kept the project on track over the course of its compressed delivery timeline. Under pressure to stick to the building schedule and remain in full compliance with all building codes, Kenny Electric worked closely with the owner (Elati Hotel LLC) and the Beck Group to quickly execute several design changes.

“Overall, I’m proud of the achievement of our team,” stated Dave Pavelka, President of Kenny Electric. “This project demonstrated the capabilities of our Pre-fab department and further solidified our partnership with The Beck Group.”

The hotel offers guests a lobby bar and restaurant, spacious first-floor pocket parking, seventh-floor conference space with attached amenity deck, large boardroom, sprawling fitness center with state-of-the-art equipment, and onsite valet parking. The hotel opened in the summer of 2019.
