Kenny Electric gladly deployed thirty of our finest men from Denver to the Davis Monthan Air Force Base in Tucson, AZ, to support the Air Force’s commitment to using alternative energy sources such as solar. Our teams installed a 3,375 kW ground-mount Photovoltaic System, which was over 3,700 feet long. Six new inverter skids and over 2,500 feet of 13.8kV feeders were also installed. The Airforce has a goal to increase its renewable energy consumption to 25 percent by 2025. It was our privilege to serve the courageous men and women who have devoted their lives to serving our country.
Part of the United States Air Force’s Air Combat Command, Davis-Monthan AFB, is home to the 355th Wing, responsible for training and deploying A-10C Thunderbolt II pilots. The AFB was established in 1925 houses over 4,000 aircraft, which support the 355th’s mission of deploying, employing, sustaining attack airpower anywhere in the world.
