Wyoming’s Department of Fire Prevention and Electrical Safety Honors Worthy Apprentices
In honor of National Apprenticeship Week, the Wyoming Department of Fire Prevention and Electrical Safety chose seven apprentices to receive the recognition of Apprentice of the Year. We are proud to share that our very own Christ Lunstrum received this special honor. To be considered for this honor, each apprentice must be nominated by their employer, have a good-standing license, and pursuing their education with on-the-job training.
Chris works out of our Casper, Wyoming Office and has been instrumental on several projects, including the Carbon County Courthouse, NCIA Terminal upgrades, Comfort Inn electrical remodel, and the AARF fire practice plane project. Chris exemplifies Kenny Electric’s core values and mission statement in his volunteerism with Habitat for Humanity, Adopt-A-Highway, and the Boys and Girls Club of America.
Excerpt from nomination letter: “It is with great pleasure that I nominate Chris Lunstrum, for the National Apprentice for the NAW. In addition to being an outstanding apprentice, he also performs at an exemplary level. Chris demonstrates an extraordinary commitment to the trade, his career, and has become a leader, and example to his peers, on his way to becoming a journeyman electrician…As a leader, he studies the project and helps to provide details to others, to help the project run smoothly. He takes on tasks and challenges, studies code related requirements for his tasks, and is invaluable to any foremen or crew he’s a part of. One of his best leadership qualities – he leads by example.” – Jim Hamilton, Superintendent
Congratulations, Chris. We celebrate your hard work and achievements.
