The scale of the Leprino Foods 49,000 square foot addition was vast concerning how much control wiring would be required to supply power and data to additional equipment and conveyor systems.

The new facility housed over 500 motors and required the installation of over 5,500 feet of cable tray installed in the interstitial space to route power and control cables.

Stainless steel conduit was used to meet the requirements of FDA and GMP standards. Careful planning was critical to the project’s success. Conveyors criss-cross the 35 feet of space between floor and ceiling; thus strategic coordination was needed to stagger installation of conduit and conveyor systems.
