Safety

Our program has earned local and national recognition and is continuously evaluated by Nationally recognized Safety Auditing firms such as ISNetworld and PICS. We put Safety & Quality first!

We were the first and are the longest standing electrical contractor in Colorado to achieve the status of Blue Level Participant in the AGC and OSHA CHASE Partnership. Our commitment to maintaining this highly respected status reduces the risk to all project stakeholders and saves you money by:

Safety Lift

  • Eliminating programmed inspections for 12 months
  • Eliminating citations for other-than-serious violations

Results are proof-positive that our Safety Program saves time, money, and increases production on every project. This translates into higher efficiencies, as well as lower costs and risk for project stakeholders.

Safety Program Overview

Our program involves all levels of management and personnel throughout the company and consists of a detailed written plan, regularly held meetings, inspections, and training. Our safety program includes:

Safety Manual

Written Safety Plan

A copy of our Safety Manual is at every job site and is available to all employees. Our Job Site Safety Procedures are provided to all levels of management and field supervisors.

Site-Specific Safety

Every project is unique. Therefore, prior to mobilization we perform a fact-finder with other team members to identify site-specific issues.  We then develop custom action plans and training materials to present to our field force to address these issues.

Safety Meetings

Conducted on a regular basis, safety meetings encompass all requirements for the City, County, State and Federal Regulations, as well as any special customer requirements.

  • Held at the job site weekly and monthly for one hour
  • Conducted by management, the Safety Director, and/or outside speakers
  • Monitored by Management representatives who visit the site regularly

Safety Committee

Meets monthly to discuss safety, review any accidents & accident prevention and to discuss suggestions from the field.

  • Members are comprised of both the field and office personnel
  • Acts as a liaison with field personnel to present ideas for improved safety
  • Convenes immediately to review injuries or accidents

Substance Abuse

Kenny Electric follows the Federal Drug Free Workplace Act of 1988.

  • All applicants must pass a pre-employment drug test before being hired
  • Employees are subject to testing when reasonable cause exists
